Lanarkshire Ice Rink

FOR THE J.T. ROBERTSON CUP

RULES

1. All league games to be played at 10:05PM.

2. Eight ends or the Bell.

3. R.C.C.C. rules apply including FREE GUARD ZONE (except as modified below including time penalty)

                     1 shot for each 5 minutes late
                     15 minutes late - 7 ends will be played
                     25 minutes late - 6 ends will be played

When a game is not played because of non-arrival, non offender will be awarded 2 points and 6 shots.

4. SUBSTITUTES
Any number of substitutes may be used in the Competition.
A player may substitute in a rink unless he or she has played two or more times for another rink.

5. All names must be entered on score cards.  Failure to comply may lead to loss of points and shots.
 
6. Rinks failing to appear will be liable for total ice fees.

7. When problems arise over league fixtures, in the first instance the substitute rule should be applied.  In the event of there being no alternative but to cancel a game, three dates will be given and they MUST  be confirmed within fourteen days on cancellation.  Failure to agree on a suitable date will result in the opposition being awarded a walk-over and ice fees being charged to cancelling rink. 
EVERY EFFORT SHOULD BE MADE TO PLAY GAMES ON THE ORIGINAL DATE.

8. Any curler not being a member of Lanarkshire Ice Rink will be charged a  temporary membership fee of £1.

9. After league play is completed, the competition winner will be decided by the following play off system:
           
Semi Final 1 -    22.3.10 @ 7:55pm    1 v 2  3 v 4
Semi Final 2 -    1.4.10 @ 7:55pm     Loser 1,2 v Winner 3,4
Final -                 6.4.10  @ 7:55pm    Winner 1,2 v Winner Semi 2

In the event of league winner winning all games, they go straight to the Final and 2 and 3 play Semi Final.
