About Us

Hamilton Ice Rink, also known as Lanarkshire Ice Rink is one of Scotland's best curling venues offering a superb 6 sheet ice pad. For most of the season, curling is played each day from Sunday through Friday. On Saturday, after early morning junior curling, the rink is a popular skating and ice hockey location.
In 1965, keen curler and well respected pharmacist, Tom Dickson returned from a Rotary tour of Canada inspired to develop a local ice rink. He and a number of like-minded curling enthusiasts raised the capital to aquire land and build the ice rink which openned in 1967. Squash courts were added in 1975 and continuous updating over the years has ensured top quality remains the hallmark of all facilities on offer.
In 2009 a lift was installed allowing wheelchair curlers and other users to enjoy access to the main bar, restaurant and viewing area.
The Ice Rink is controlled by a board of directors and 3 committees relating to different aspects. Details and information on annual fees are available by clicking on appropriate the menu tabs.
